Com o objetivo de avaliar a influência da composição química do substrato no cultivo do cogumelo comestível Pleurotus florida, seis resíduos agrícolas foram testados: palha de arroz, palha de feijão, palha de trigo, folha de bananeira, palha de sorgo e sabugo de milho. O substrato palha de feijão apresentou resultados semelhantes para a produção (189,8 g kg-1), eficiência biológica (89,2%) e número de cogumelos (12) à palha de arroz, substrato utilizado tradicionalmente no cultivo de Pleurotus em escala comercial. Não foi possível atribuir apenas a um fator químico as altas produções e eficiências biológicas observadas em palha de arroz e palha de feijão e muito menos para a baixa produção em palha de sorgo (77,8 g kg-1) e sabugo de milho (53,2 g g-1). No geral, substratos com relação C/N em torno de 45 (N = 1,0%), maior conteúdo de cinzas, acrescido de altos teores de P, K, Ca, Mg and Mn foram os melhores para o cultivo de P. florida.

The purpose of this work was to evaluate the influence of the chemical composition of the substrate in the cultivation of the edible mushroom Pleurotus florida. Six agricultural by-products were tested: rice straw, bean straw, wheat straw, banana leaf, sorghum straw and maize cobs. Using bean straw as the substrate showed similar results for yield (189.8 g kg-1), biological efficiency (89.2%) and number of mushrooms (12) as rice straw substrates traditionally used for the cultivation of Pleurotus on a commercial scale. It was not possible to attribute the high yields and biological efficiency observed in rice and bean straw solely to chemical factors and, even less so for the low yields presented by sorghum straw (77.8 g kg-1) and maize cobs (53.2 g kg-1). In general, substrates with C/N ratio around 45 (N = 1.0%), high ash content and high levels of P, K, Ca, Mg and Mn were the best for the cultivation of P. florida.

A influência de acibenzolar-S-methyl (ASM), e fungicidas aplicados via tratamento de sementes sobre a ferrugem asiática bem como o crescimento de plântulas de soja foi avaliada em experimento conduzido em casa de vegetação em delineamento inteiramente casualizado com três repetições, utilizando as cultivares de soja 'Agiara', 'M-soy 8000' e 'M-soy 8080'. Os tratamentos foram três doses de ASM (0,05; 0,1 e 0,2 g de i.a. por kg de sementes), ASM (na dose de 0,1 g de i.a. por kg de sementes) combinado aos fungicidas flutriafol, pyraclostrobin e azoxystrobin, e a aplicação isolada destes, além de uma testemunha tratada com água. Os resultados mostraram redução da Área Abaixo da Curva de Progresso da Ferrugem (AACPF) com o aumento da dose de ASM nas três cultivares de soja. A utilização isolada do ASM em diferentes doses proporcionou uma redução da AACPF além de apresentar, na maioria dos casos, um efeito sinérgico com os fungicidas, aumentando a eficiência de controle quando comparada às aplicações isoladas. Com exceção do ASM na menor dosagem, todos os tratamentos apresentaram controle superior a 77 % comparados à testemunha. Em geral, o tratamento de sementes com ASM e fungicidas resultou numa redução da massa seca (MS) em relação à testemunha. A utilização de ASM associado a fungicidas na tentativa de atrasar a infecção da ferrugem asiática da soja nos períodos iniciais da cultura constitui-se em uma alternativa viável para redução do inóculo inicial, entretanto possíveis efeitos fitotóxicos devem ser considerados.

The influence of acibenzolar-S-methyl (ASM) and fungicides ASM in different doses provided reduction of AUPRC as well as it applied as seed treatment on Asian rust control as well as on growth presented synergism with the fungicides, increasing the control of soybean seedlings were evaluated in a completely randomized efficiency when compared to single applications. Except for ASM experiment with three replications, using the 'Agiara', 'M-soy 8000' applied in the smallest dose, all of the treatments presented control and 'M-soy 8080' soybean cultivars. The treatments were three doses higher than 77 % compared to the control plot. In general, the of ASM (0,05; 0,1 and 0,2 g of a.i. for kg of seeds), ASM (in the dose treatment of seeds with ASM and fungicides resulted in reduction of of 0,1 g of a.i. for kg of seeds) combined to the fungicides flutriafol, the dry weight (DW) in relation to control. The use of ASM associated pyraclostrobin and azoxystrobin, and the isolated application of these with fungicides attempting to delay the infection of Asian soybean as well as a control treated with water. The results showed reduction rust in the initial stages constituted a viable alternative for reduction of Area Under Progress Rust Curve (AUPRC) with the increase of the of primary inoculum, however the occurrence of some phytotoxic dose of ASM in the three cultivars of soybean. The isolated use of effects also must be considerated.
